•If you are unable to make it to class, please try to let me know ahead of time. Remember, any adult/caregiver can bring a child to class. It does not always have to be the same person. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and friends are all welcome to come to Kindermusik.
•In the event of bad weather, please use your own discretion of whether to come to class. You should receive an email and/or phone call if class is cancelled. Please feel free to give me a call if you haven’t heard from me. (816)628-4431
•If your child has been sick, please use your discretion whether to bring him/her to class. (Would you want your child exposed if it was someone else?)
•Please do not bring toys/cups/snacks to class with you. I will always try to provide plenty of activities to keep your child interested. Personal toys/drinks can be distracting to other children.
•Parking: Please park in the driveway if there is a space available. If not, park on the same side of the street as our house (front or side).
•Please be sure your child has used the restroom BEFORE class begins, especially Imagine That students. This can become a big distraction and waste of class time.
•If your child becomes upset during class to the point that it is distracting others, please take your child out until they are ready to join us again.
•Please remain focused on YOUR child at all times. If they do not seem interested in doing an activity as described, please feel free to help them participate in their own way. Kindermusik is CHILD CENTERED, which means we want the child to do things however they are most comfortable. Remember, YOU are YOUR CHILD’S first and most important teacher.
•VILLAGE/OUR TIME/FAMILY TIME: I try to leave all “discipline” issues up to the parent. I will only become involved if I feel that a child’s actions are distracting or endangering others in the class (or my instruments).
•IMAGINE THAT: If a child’s behavior is a problem, I may place a child in “time-out” until the next activity. I will always let the parent know when he/she returns if this has happened. If this occurs frequently, we will meet to discuss a plan of action to correct the situation.
•All deposits are non-refundable, unless that class is not offered due to low enrollments. Tuition will only be refunded for special circumstances, which will be considered on an individual basis upon request.
