Family Time is designed for multi-age children and their parent(s).  Being part of a growing family brings both exciting opportunities and lots of challenges--not the least of which is finding activities that each family member will enjoy.  One way to create fun and memorable experiences is through music.  Music offers something for everyone. Babies, preschoolers and parents alike will sing, dance, and play while learning--from the music and from each other.

This is also a great alternative for children 3-5 that prefer to stay in class with a parent.

Top 10 Reasons to Enroll in Kindermusik
Spring 2011: Moovin' and Groovin'
Movin’ & Groovin’ is a romping, rolling, stretching good time for the whole family. This unit will explore lots of different ways to move - high and low, fast and slow, zigzag, curvy, and more. Family members will chug around the classroom like trains, clip-clop like horses, and roll over like puppy dogs. They’ll hear a story about playing tag together in Can You Catch Me?, and read about a jungle hokey-pokey in Put Your Left Paw In.
Home Materials include 2 CDs, Family Activity Guide, a hand and finger puppet, 2 instruments, 2 children’s storybooks, and a board game.
Spring 2010/12: Here There Everywhere
Five themes center around different family outings: a visit with a friend, an outing at the park, a trip to the city, an afternoon at the aquarium, and a day on the farm.  The story Flip-Flap, Sugar Snap! is all about moving like animals and Jingle-Jangle Jambourine is about following a girl who has lost her jambourine during the day's outings (to the very same places visited in the curriculum - what a coincidence!) and she finds herself at home at the end of the story.
Home Materials include 2 CDs, Family Activity Guide, a hand and finger puppet, 2 instruments, 2 children’s storybooks, and a board game.
Fall 2011: Make Way for Music
Families will sing, dance, and move their way through an exploration of several elements of music: beat and rhythm, concepts and contrasts (such as staccato and legato, high and low, the major scale, and arpeggios), the human voice, instrument families, and ensemble. They’ll engage in developmentally appropriate activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including fingerplays, songs, circle dances, story time, and family jam.
Home Materials include 2 CDs, Family Activity Guide, a hand and finger puppet, 2 instruments, 2 children’s storybooks, and a board game.
