What is ABC Music & Me?
It is a music enrichment program created by Kindermusik for 2-6 year olds. There are two classes available: 2-4 year olds and 4-6 year olds. Each class is filled with music and movement designed to develop the whole child. (see picture to the right)
Why should I choose ABC Music & Me?
Research shows that music improves your child's memory, cognitive development, learning skills, and ability to express emotion. Music makes your child a better learner, teaches self-control, improves coordination, enhances creativity, and inspires your child with a lifelong appreciation of music and movement. Plus, it's FUN!!!
What is included in ABC Music & Me?
Each child attends one 30-minute class each week for 5 weeks. Weekly progress pages are provided for the parents. Home materials are included with each unit. Each unit has a new theme and a new learning focus.
What are home materials?
A new set of materials are included with each unit and include a family magazine, CD and every other unit includes an instrument. The family magazine contains stories, activities, the month's learning focus, plus developmental information that details your child's emerging learning strengths. The CD includes over 20 songs, rhymes and stories from class. A new, age-appropriate instrument will be included with every other unit. (see photo below)
Why are home materials required?
Because learning begins at home. They allow the parents to be involved in the class, even though they can't attend with their child. Activities are included in the materials as well as suggestions from the teacher on the weekly progress page. The parent can read the story, sing the songs with their child, or listen as their child tells what he did during "that" song in class.
